MINECON capesall five

Five capes, five conventions, six years. Between 2011 and 2016 the only way to get one was to hold a ticket and walk through the door. Here is the complete set, year by year.

Why there is no 2014, and nothing after 2016

MINECON skipped 2014 entirely; the convention came back in London in 2015 at double the size. After Anaheim in 2016 the event moved to a livestreamed format, first as MINECON Earth and then as Minecraft Live, and no cape has since been issued for attending a MINECON in person.

That makes the set closed. Five capes, awarded to a combined pool of roughly 38,000 ticket holders, and no mechanism exists today for a sixth.
