What happened
The second MINECON moved to Europe and took over convention space at Disneyland Paris for two days. Attendance held at roughly 4,500, the same size as Las Vegas the year before.
The keynote belonged to the Redstone Update, presented by the core development team.
The 2012 cape has an unusual origin: it is the design that lost the 2011 community vote. It picked up 33% of the votes, sat unused for a year, and was then issued to Paris attendees.
Why collectors care
A second-year event cape with a supply in the low thousands, and the only one whose artwork was originally drawn for a different year.
A cape cannot be detached from the account that earned it. There is no trade, no gift, no transfer. The only way the 2012 cape moves is if the whole account moves with it, which is the market CNKT works in.
